How we started
Gaya soap began just like any other dream with a goal ours was to make the best organic soap and skin care line in the world and
WE DID IT!
My wife was pregnant with our first child and as a young couple living in Florida U.S.A. we were filled with a great sense of mystery from what life has to offer us and our children, at the time organic products were just starting to take off and the health values were becoming more of an issue in our day to day lives.
We started eating healthy, exercising daily and practiced a mental high state that was making us feel really great.
One day while taking an evening shower I suddenly glanced at my bottle of liquid soap and saw the not tested on animals sign then started to ponder about the cruelness of the making of soap and skin care products that are being tested on animals in various parts across the world the thought alone made me start to think how I can be this change that I want to see in the world.
After extensive research on soap and skin care products I can truly say I was shocked and astonished at what is really hidden behind all those fancy words on the back of the soap in the ingredients section.
Let alone the facts that most of the big names in soap don't even use soap in their products and what is inside is a different mix of chemical detergents and artificial smells made up in labs and sometimes even tested on animals to better understand the side effects it might cause on humans until they get the right solution that might get the least side effects results on humans WOW! I thought to myself, why should I make my wife my self and soon to be child a statistical test subject in the grand scheme of pharmaceutical products companies' race for wealth that has no boundaries so I took the initiative and said no more And THAT WAS THAT!
I began looking for alternatives in the market and came to find out that at the time the only ones in the market were derived from olive oil, milk and honey with a limited range of smells, right then and there I understood the immense business opportunity and like a puzzle it all came into place and after partnering up with partner my we began our endeavor to make the best organic soap and skin care products in the world.
